Job Description

New Value Solutions is a national IT consulting company and we are searching for a IT Management Consultant. Previous experience as a Chief Information Office, Vice President or Director is required. The ideal candidate will bring executive-level leadership to help shape and implement IT strategies that enhance public service delivery, operational efficiency, data governance, and cybersecurity. This is a contract, part time role. Experience with public sector organizations is preferred. Key Responsibilities: Strategic IT Planning: Develop and lead the municipality's IT strategy in alignment with organizational goals, departmental needs, and budget constraints. Technology Modernization: Evaluate and recommend upgrades to legacy systems and infrastructure, including ERP, permitting, GIS, and public safety platforms. Cybersecurity Leadership: Oversee cybersecurity posture and policy implementation; assess risks and lead incident response preparedness. Data Governance & Compliance: Ensure data management policies comply with relevant laws and best practices, including records retention and open data mandates. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with executives, and department heads to align IT initiatives with corporate needs. Vendor & Contract Oversight: Manage IT vendors and service contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness, performance, and accountability. Digital Transformation: Promote customer/citizen centric services .
