Contentious Construction Lawyer (4 years' PQE) A standout opportunity has arisen for a lawyer with expertise in contentious construction to join a high-performing and supportive team in Edinburgh. This permanent, full-time role offers the chance to work on a varied and high-value caseload spanning energy, infrastructure, commercial developments and public sector disputes. You will be a Senior Construction Lawyer with at least 4 years’ PQE and a proven track record in contentious matters. This team is known for its collaborative culture, early responsibility and outstanding support for career development – offering real prospects for progression and involvement in business development. What you'll be doing: Handling complex construction disputes for a wide client base including developers, contractors, lenders and public bodies Advising across sectors such as infrastructure, energy and utilities Leading on mandates and supervising junior team members as appropriate Contributing to the growth and success of the contentious construction practice Engaging in client relationship development and BD initiatives The ideal candidate will: Have a minimum 2:1 degree and ideally 4 years' PQE in construction law Strong experience in contentious work gained within a recognised construction or projects team Be a confident communicator who can lead matters and support colleagues across disciplines Have a proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement If you're ready to take a central role in a thriving practice that values both commerciality and collaboration, this could be the ideal next step.
