We're Hiring: Field Commissioning Engineer – Robotics & Automation UK-based | Frequent Travel (UK & International) £35,000 – £48,000 DOE Permanent | Immediate Start Available Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for automation, robotics, and solving complex problems out in the field? We’re supporting a leading industrial automation specialist in their search for a Field Commissioning Engineer to join their expanding Service & Support team. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same—you’ll be diagnosing, commissioning, and supporting cutting-edge robotic systems for clients across the UK and beyond. What you’ll be doing: Commission bespoke robotic & automation systems on-site Diagnose and resolve electrical, PLC, and software faults Perform upgrades, modifications, and emergency support Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams Deliver exceptional customer service and system performance ✅ What we’re looking for: Strong diagnostics background (electrical PLC) Industrial robot experience (KUKA, FANUC preferred) PLCs: Beckhoff, Siemens (IEC 61131-3) Familiarity with fieldbus protocols (EtherCAT, ProfiNET, etc.) Happy to travel frequently across the UK and abroad Full UK driving licence & DBS eligibility Bonus if you have: HNC or apprenticeship in electrical engineering Experience with industrial safety systems End-to-end commissioning/project exposure What’s in it for you: Salary up to £48K travel expenses Work with the latest robotic tech Flexible working when not on-site Excellent long-term development prospects Interested?
