Psychiatrist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Kansas

An Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital is seeking a Psychiatrist for locum tenens coverage. The facility is located 20 miles southwest of downtown Kansas City, Missouri. A facility is seeking a physician for a 3- or 6-month contract working Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM. Call may be required, typically one weeknight per week and one weekend per month, including rounding. The caseload includes no more than 34 new intakes per day, with the rest being follow-ups, and a maximum of 16 patients per day. The patient population is children and adolescents ages 517 with diagnoses such as mood disorders, anxiety, depression, ODD, ADD, PTSD, and substance use disorder. Youll be supported by a collaborative team that includes psychiatrists, psychiatric NPs, RNs, social workers, and therapists.
