Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/09/2025 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Title : RN - Labor & Delivery Duration : 13 weeks Location : West Chester PA 19380 Schedule : 3 12's ( 7:00 pm - 7:00 am ) 36hours/wk Key Responsibilities: 1.Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs (e.g., heart rate, blood pressure, contractions) continuously using electronic fetal monitoring and interpret trends. 2.Provide direct care during labor, including administering medications (pain relief, oxytocin), assisting with epidural placement, and supporting natural birthing options. 3.Perform comprehensive physical assessments and recognize early signs of complications; intervene or escalate care as necessary. 4.Coordinate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatal teams, and other care providers to ensure seamless patient transitions—from triage to delivery and postpartum. 5.Educate mothers and families about the labor process, birthing options, infant care, breastfeeding, and postpartum self-care.
