About The Position Barton Associates is seeking a Hospitalist Physician for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Vermont. This 7-day assignment requires expertise in managing inpatient care, including admissions, rounds, and discharges. The schedule involves 12-hour day shifts from 7 am to 7 pm, with additional on-call responsibilities overnight from 7 pm to 7 am. The assignment runs from August 19 to August 25. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a hospital setting, collaborating with ED physicians, and supporting night hospitalist APPs. Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred. This role requires a Vermont medical license and does not involve procedures. Job Details: Location: Vermont Facility Type: Hospital Start Date: 08/19/2025 LOA: 7 days Provider Type Needed: Physician specializing in Hospitalist Medicine Schedule: 7 am to 7 pm in-hospital shifts, with on-call duties overnight (7 pm to 7 am) Job Responsibilities and Duties: • Manage 5-8 daily admissions • Conduct rounds on 9 or more patients • Handle patient discharges throughout the week • Collaborate with ED physicians on appropriate admissions • Provide on-call support to night hospitalist APPs • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Cerner EMR • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures • Participate in team meetings and case discussions as needed • Ensure high-quality patient care and efficient hospital operations Additional Information: • Must be licensed to practice in Vermont • Comfortable working in a hospital setting • No procedures required • Experience with Cerner EMR preferred Apply now to learn more!
