BI Analyst - Hyperion [T500-18117]

At Visy India, their technology hub in Hyderabad, they are expanding their technical capabilities to support their global business. Primary Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain Hyperion Planning/Essbase applications, including metadata, forms, business rules, and calculation scripts. Develop and support financial reports using Hyperion Financial Reporting (HFR) and Smart View. Collaborate with finance teams to gather requirements and enhance planning, budgeting, and forecasting models. Support monthly/quarterly planning cycles, ensuring data integrity and performance of Hyperion applications. Automate data loads and metadata updates using tools like Oracle Data Integrator. Assist in system upgrades, patching, and testing activities. Troubleshoot and resolve user issues, application errors, and performance problems. Maintain system documentation and provide training/support to end users. Participate in continuous improvement efforts for financial systems and reporting processes. Experience & Qualifications: Mandatory (critical for the Role): Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Around 3-5 years of experience as a Hyperion Developer or in a similar EPM role. Hands-on experience with Hyperion Planning, Essbase, and Smart View. Working knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management(HFM) Familiarity with Hyperion Financial Reporting (HFR) and/or Oracle Data Management (FDMEE). Understanding of financial processes such as budgeting, forecasting, and reporting cycles. Basic to intermediate knowledge of scripting languages (Calc Scripts, MaxL ) for automation. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Good knowledge of SAP FI/CO Good knowledge of T-SQL, Stored Procedure Skills (Technical, Business, Leadership): Oracle Hyperion Planning – Application design, form development, workflow management Oracle Essbase – Cube development, outline creation, calculation scripts Hyperion Financial Reporting (HFR) – Report development and maintenance Smart View – Excel-based reporting and user interface for end users Oracle Data Integrator, FDMEE – Data load automation, mapping, and integration Scripting Languages – Calc Scripts, MaxL SQL – Query writing, data validation, troubleshooting Batch Scripting/Shell Scripting – For job automation and data processing ERP Integration Knowledge – Familiarity with data flows from SAP, or similar systems
