Sr. Analyst, Demand Planning

You will have exposure at various business levels and report to the Associate Manager Demand Planning Southern Cluster. You will liaise with functions across the regional supply chain. This position involves making decisions that impact the demand plan and communicating these to stakeholders. It also includes contributing to special projects and strategic initiatives. About the Team/Department The demand planning team at SC Johnson develops forecasts based on sales, promotions, distribution, shipment history, competitor activities, and marketing plans. This role is key in creating accurate consumer demand signals to align supply chain and company resources. It also acts as a regional and national link between commercial teams and supply chain planning. Responsibilities: Maintain demand planning systems to generate the best forecasts using established processes. Analyze demand inputs like distribution changes, pricing, new/discontinued products, and promotions to assess their impact. Collaborate on projects such as new product launches, discontinuations, and transitions, evaluating assumptions pre- and post-launch. Work with Marketing, Sales, and Finance on advertising and promotional activities, assessing market penetration and performance against historical data. Share demand forecasts with relevant internal and supply chain partners, including assumptions, risks, and opportunities. Engage with marketing, sales, and finance to address forecast gaps identified through error analysis. Monitor and improve key process metrics and KPIs, driving continuous improvement. Experience you’ll bring: At least 3 years in Demand Planning and Supply Chain or Business roles. Proven results in a team-based, cross-functional environment, preferably with S&OP processes. Hands-on experience with demand planning tools and systems. Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications. Behaviors you’ll need: Undergraduate degree, preferably in economics, supply chain, engineering, or related fields. Ability to influence decision-making at all levels. Skills in data analysis, both quantitative and qualitative, linked to KPIs. Knowledge of finance, sales, marketing, and market dynamics. Familiarity with S&OP and SAP systems.
