The Role Kyndryl is seeking a passionate and driven IT Consultant to join our team and break out of the hierarchy to rewrite the rules for what comes next. As an IT Consultant at Kyndryl, you'll be responsible for delivering value to customers and Kyndryl by applying deep domain, technology, and industry expertise, consulting techniques, and cognitive approaches to analyze issues and create innovative solutions. You will be re-energized with a fresh set of challenges, including working on large enterprise, fast-track projects. In this role, you will be at the forefront of strategic decision-making, defining sourcing strategies, and selecting providers that align with our customers’ IT and automation strategies. You will be guiding customers in their adoption of both major cloud and non-cloud technologies, including virtualization and containers. You will advise customers on technology options and help them make strategic choices and decisions. Your expertise in prioritizing use cases, conducting ROI and business case analyses, incorporating security and resiliency into future state designs will shape the foundation for success. You will grow to become a trusted and experienced Consultant, responsible for a vast number of essential technical components such as analyzing the customer's current state, defining IT Strategy including key outcomes, designing conceptual solutions, planning and executing design and implementation work (with support from technical specialists), and accounting for time, cost, and quality targets. You will also develop own specific assets, tools, and white papers articulating point of views in a specific domain, assemble and lead a team of consultants and architects, and facilitate and capture lessons learned from engagements to update methodologies and assets. You will develop Project Management skills, and oversee the delivery of major projects within scope, schedule, and budget. You’ll be the driving force for every aspect of a program’s success, and the “conductor” who orchestrates everyone’s efforts to make beautiful music together. As the single point of contact to the client, you’ll also be the living embodiment of Kyndryl’s reputation every day. You’ll be constructing detailed project plans, managing teams, and leading meetings, status calls, and planning and cadence meetings. You will analyze and mitigate risks, manage finances, make sure the team has the right skills, then plan and delegate activity to hit deadlines, deliver on SLAs, and generally delight our clients. Yol need to practice continuous structural thinking and take ownership for value delivery, not just task scheduling. As important as planning and organization are, communication is 90% of the job. You’re the single point of contact with the client, partners, and all stakeholders, supporting them and ensuring they get what they need. You’re also the bridge to every other team on the project, including both technical and account roles. The result is an exciting multicultural, often multilingual environment. You need to like interactions with other people and know how to be kind and empathetic but also assertive — and handle customer change requests with diplomacy. As an IT Consultant at Kyndryl you can join both the Kyndryl Consultant Profession or/and the Kyndryl Project Management profession, working with other Kyndryl Consultants, Kyndryl Project Managers, Architects, Specialists and cross-functional Technical Subject Matter Experts. Who You Are Required Technical and Professional Experience Organization and planning skills Teamwork with “one team” philosophy Fluent in English and Italian Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical insights to both technical and non-technical audiences Preferred Skills and Experience Master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Academic or formal experience in the areas of IT and/or cloud technology architecture, service management and/or resiliency Knoweldge of IT Service Management, ITIL, COBIT, ISO Standards Knowledge of major cloud technologies including virtualization, containers, networking etc. on different cloud platforms knowledge of Data and AI basic concepts Knoweldge of Financial management, Business case, ROI, and TCO analysis to validate IT strategy Data modelling and analytical experience using common tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau) SCRUM or Project Management skills You’re good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. However, equally as important – you have a growth mindset; keen to drive your own personal and professional development. You are customer-focused – someone who prioritizes customer success in their work. And finally, you’re open and borderless – naturally inclusive in how you work with others.
