Job Description
For a leading international company operating in the gaming & betting field, we are looking for a TAX MANAGER What you’ll do: Join the team of Regional Finance, specifically in the Tax Department reporting directly to the Tax Director. Be involved in all tax matters related to Italian entities within an international environment. As Tax Manager, you’ll be responsible for: Tax Compliance - ensure all mandatory local tax filings are completed accurately and on time, including corporate income taxes, VAT, withholding taxes, Digital Service Tax, and monitoring the tax consolidation unity status. Tax Accounting - oversee the calculation of local tax accruals and deferred tax assets and liabilities, collaborating with accounting teams for accurate financial reporting. General Advisory and Tax Strategies - provide tax advisory support, propose optimization strategies in areas like tax credits, reorganizations, M&A support, financing structures, and international tax treaties. Tax Audits & Claims - oversee responses to tax authority requests, audits, and court proceedings if necessary. Support business initiatives by analyzing tax implications of decisions. Assist the Tax Director on key projects. Participate in working groups on various tax topics. Stay updated on tax regulations and monitor new regulations impacting the company. Implement and optimize the Tax Control Framework in compliance with SOX and Group policies, ensuring effective tax governance and risk management. What you’ll bring: At least 8 years of relevant experience in a Big Four or comparable law firm or industry sector, focusing on corporate tax matters. A degree in Business Administration, Tax Law, or related field; additional qualifications as a Chartered Accountant are preferred. Excellent communication skills to explain tax concepts to stakeholders at all levels. Ability to work in a global environment with virtual teams. Strong analytical skills, financial analysis, data management, and Excel modeling. Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure. Flexibility, pragmatism, and a user-oriented problem-solving approach. Fluency in Italian and English, both written and verbal.
