Senior Geometric Design Engineer

Our client, a large consulting company with offices across South Africa, is looking for a Senior Geometric Design Engineer to join their growing team in Cape Town! What you will need: Highly competent in roads and highways geometric design for national and provincial authorities. Extensive experience in complex road projects involving freeway interchange design, major provincial roads, urban arterial roads, dual carriageways, major intersections, roundabouts, road marking, drainage etc. · BEng or BTech in Civil Engineering as a minimum. · A minimum of 8 years roads-specific design experience is a pre-requisite. · Registration with ECSA as a Pr. Eng. or Pr. Tech Eng is preferable. · Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil3D software packages. Experience with ACC (BIM360) and Navisworks advantageous. Your responsibilities will include: Preparation of road infrastructure design reports. Preparation of tender documentation, including specifications, quantities, and cost estimates. · Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, requiring co-ordination between discipline interfaces, such as, geotechnical, structures, materials, transportation, environmental etc. · Compliance with ISO standards of the company. · Assisting in projects as required.
