We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Process Operator to join our Client's team at the Wastewater Treatment Works in Wigan. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the wastewater treatment processes run smoothly and effectively, safeguarding the environment and the health of our communities Details: Job: Process Operator Client: United Utilities Hours: £16.04per hour PAYE - Monday to Friday 7:00-15:00 Address: Wastewater Treatment Works andsite visits around the area Contract details: 6 months contract, with a possibility to go permanent What will you do? Operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater and odor control equipment and facilities. Operate, monitor, and maintain biological, chemical, mechanical, and hydraulic processes at wastewater treatment plants, collection system pump and regulator stations and associated facilities. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment and facilities. Collect and analyse water samples to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Maintain accurate records of operational data and report any anomalies or issues. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving operational problems. Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols at all times. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness. What will youhave? High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in wastewater treatment operations, understanding of wastewater treatment processes and equipment are an advantage. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
