If you’ve got a flair for producing high-impact, technically accurate bid responses—and want to play a key role in winning contracts that shape the UK’s infrastructure—this is your next move. Your Role As a Bid Writer, you’ll lead the creation of persuasive, compliant, and tailored tender content that reflects our position as a trusted partner in technical recruitment. From major infrastructure projects to long-term rail frameworks, you’ll take ownership of complex bids that drive business growth. What You'll Be Doing Lead written responses for large scale bids across rail, construction, and engineering sectors Translate complex technical requirements into clear, client-focused content Collaborate with internal stakeholders, delivery teams, and technical SMEs to gather critical bid input Ensure compliance with client specs, governance standards, and win themes Drive pre-bid planning sessions and contribute to win strategies Support bid library development and continuously improve written content Balance multiple tenders simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines with precision What We're Looking For Proven bid writing experience, ideally within recruitment, construction, rail, infrastructure, or technical services Strong understanding of public and private sector tendering Exceptional written communication and editing skills with an eye for detail Confident managing the full bid lifecycle from kick-off to submission Adept at working with operational and technical teams to gather insights Organised, deadline-driven, and comfortable with fast-paced environments Degree-level education preferred, but experience in a technical or commercial bid writing role is key.
