Humanities Teacher Annual Salary: Pay to scale Location: Reading Job Type: Full-time, Term Contract (1 Term starting September) We are seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher for a term-long position starting in September at a well-regarded educational institution in Reading. This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality education in humanities subjects and fostering a positive learning environment for all students. Day-to-day of the role: Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in humanities subjects. Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives. Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and organising learning resources and the classroom environment. Assess and record students' progress and provide grades and feedback. Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the institution. Participate in departmental and school meetings, parent meetings, and whole school training events. Stay updated on pedagogical methods and actively engage in professional development activities. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Degree in Humanities or a closely related subject. Proven experience as a Humanities Teacher. Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines partnered with a willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures.
