This is a great opportunity to join a growing program committed to serving the needs of an underserved community. Licensed MD/DO - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Full time position - M-F 8 hour days Inpatient Adult Psychiatry coverage providing behavioral health units, consults on medical floors, review of admissions from the ED and external hospitals or providers. Call coverage: 1:5 Weekend Rounding (1 weekend every 5 weeks) 4:00 PM Fri - 8:00 AM Mon. 1 to 2 week nights per week 4:00 PM - 8:00 AM Both include cross coverage from units and admission calls Practice Support: 1:8 - One RN to every 8 patients and 1:6 - One Behavioral Health tech to every 6 patients Great Support and Resources for you and your patients - LCSW, LPC, BSW, Art Therapist, Music Therapist, Recreation Therapist, RN Clinical Coordinators and Nurse Manager. Average 8-12 patients per day Patient ages - 18 and approx. 70% adult, 30% geriatric Opportunity to mentor medical students Mentorship available by Medical Director We're looking for a compassionate provider who is sensitive to a patient population which includes homelessness, poverty, substance abuse and high recidivism.
