As the on-site authority, you will manage field activities, coordinate subcontractors, uphold quality and safety standards, and ensure projects stay on track. Learn more at www.meffcon.com Key Responsibilities Project Oversight & Execution Manage day-to-day on-site construction activities across commercial projects Implement project schedules and ensure work aligns with plans and specs Maintain high safety, quality, and productivity standards Budget & Resource Management Monitor labor, materials, and equipment usage to stay within budget Work closely with the project manager to anticipate and mitigate cost issues Team Leadership Direct on-site crews, subcontractors, and vendors with clarity and authority Foster a positive, accountable jobsite culture aligned with company values Safety & Compliance Enforce site-specific safety programs and OSHA compliance Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and daily inspections Documentation & Reporting Utilize construction management software to track and report site activity Maintain daily logs, labor reports, photos, and incident reports Material & Equipment Coordination Ensure timely delivery and readiness of tools, materials, and equipment Operate equipment (forklifts, skid steers, small excavators) as required Stakeholder Communicatio n Serve as the primary on-site liaison for owners, architects, engineers, and internal teams Resolve issues and communicate changes or challenges quickly and effectively Quality Assurance & Closeout Conduct quality control checks, punch walks, and ensure completion of closeout documents Uphold project specs and Mefford's quality standards from start to finish Qualifications Minimum 3 years of field supervision experience in commercial construction Capable of self-performing work (concrete, carpentry, drywall, etc.) Strong coordination, leadership, and communication skills Physically fit for outdoor work and capable of lifting 50 lbs regularly Ability to travel as needed based on project assignments Benefits Competitive Salary Bonus Potential 401(k) with Company Match Profit Sharing Medical, Life, and Disability Insurance (Basic, Supplemental, STD/LTD) Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick Days, Holidays) AAA Membership Career Development: Safety & Equipment Certifications, OSHA, Lift Training, Manufacturer Training Company Vehicle / Car Allowance / Mileage Reimbursement Company Events: Annual Trips, BBQs, Concerts, Sporting Events, Fishing/Hunting Trips Bi-Weekly Pay Cycle Schedule Full-Time | Monday to Friday Occasional weekends or extended hours based on project demands Work Location Based in Versailles, KY, with travel to commercial job sites across the region Lead.
