We have successfully processed over 450,000 claims, earning a high volume of positive reviews from customers. Currently, we operate in 20 languages, with plans to expand to 30 languages this year. As an ambitious and fast-growing startup with a clear vision for international expansion, we aim to reach 1 million claims by the end of 2026. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated lawyer specializing in consumer flight claims (typically via small claims procedure) to lead in-court collections, either owning or wanting to open their own boutique legal firm in Italy. Pre-court collections are managed by a team of paralegals. Your responsibilities will include filing batches of court cases to recover compensation and reimbursement of Out-of-Pocket Expenses (OPE) incurred by passengers, as well as ticket refunds. Currently, AirAdvisor handles EU261 / UK261 compensation claims for delays, cancellations, and denied boarding, with baggage claims launching soon. If the law or judge's decision is unfair, we may consider escalating this to advocate for legal changes or public awareness. This role offers opportunities for high performers with strong litigation experience and a passion for consumer rights in the airline industry. The candidate must be free from conflicts of interest, meaning they can litigate claims against different airlines. Requirements : A valid lawyer’s / solicitor’s license and legal insurance. A law degree from an accredited institution. Experience with small claims, consumer rights, or aviation law is a plus but not required. Knowledge of relevant consumer protection laws and aviation regulations is also a plus but not required. Proven success in in-court collection is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to assess case merits, conduct legal research, and develop effective strategies. Ability to manage caseloads, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and track statutes of limitations is required. Experience in automating and standardizing claims management processes to scale operations quickly is desirable. Responsibilities : Preparing and filing batches of cases in courts against airlines, responding to legal defenses, and enforcing court decisions when necessary. Conducting legal research and developing best practices for handling various issues. Negotiating settlements in court, maintaining accurate case records, and ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards. Staying updated on developments in consumer protection laws, aviation regulations, and legal precedents to provide current advice and representation.
