Job Description

Please, only apply if you have a valid solicitor’s license and are authorized by the Solicitors Regulation Authority in Italy. Join AirAdvisor – Innovate, Lead, and Make an Impact and work remotely from anywhere in the world. AirAdvisor is dedicated to ensuring air travelers receive the compensation they are entitled to for flight disruptions, including delays, cancellations, missed connections, or airline-related issues like overbooking. We have successfully processed over 450,000 claims, earning over 22,000 reviews, and currently operate in 20 languages, with 10 more forthcoming this year. As an ambitious and fast-growing startup with a clear vision for international expansion, we plan to reach 1 million claims by the end of 2026. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated lawyer specializing in consumer flight claims (typically via small claims procedure) to lead in-court collections, owning or wanting to open their own boutique legal firm in Italy. Pre-court collections are managed by a team of paralegals. You will be responsible for filing batches of court cases to recover compensation and reimbursement of Out-of-Pocket Expenses (OPE) incurred by passengers, or ticket refunds. Currently, AirAdvisor handles EU261/UK261 claims for flight delays, cancellations, and denied boarding, with baggage claims launching soon. If the law or judge rules the case unfairly, we would consider escalating to change the law if feasible. There may also be PR opportunities related to court victories and legal issues to raise public awareness. This role is ideal for high performers with strong litigation experience, a passion for advocating consumer rights in the airline industry, and the ability to self-perform. The candidate must be free from conflicts of interest, meaning they are free to litigate against different airlines. Requirements : A valid lawyer’s/solicitor’s license and legal insurance. A law degree from an accredited institution. Experience with small claims, consumer rights, or aviation law is a plus but not required. Knowledge of consumer protection laws and aviation regulations is also a plus but not required. Proven success in in-court collection. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess case merits, conduct legal research, and develop effective strategies. Ability to manage caseloads, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and track statutes of limitations. Experience in automating and standardizing claims management processes to scale quickly. Responsibilities : Preparing and filing cases against airlines, responding to legal defenses, leading enforcement of court decisions, conducting legal research, negotiating settlements, maintaining case records, and staying updated on relevant laws and regulations. Soft skills : Professional, ambitious, open to testing AI solutions, self-aware, honest, responsible, result-oriented, proactive, problem solver, independent, communicative, and eager to make a significant impact. We offer : Remote-first culture with flexible hours, potential relocation, growth opportunities in global expansion, a dynamic work environment, and a supportive international team across 11 countries. Job Type : Agreement on Services / Self-Employed Consultant Contract. If you're ready for a high-impact role in a fast-growing company, apply now and help us redefine air travel compensation!
