Senior Machine Learning Engineer – Generative AI Remote (UK-based) | £competitive/flexible Bonus & Benefits Join a UK tech company pushing real product innovation in automation, low-code platforms, and applied Generative AI . This is a high-ownership role for someone who knows how to move fast, scale systems, and build GenAI features that make it into production. You’ll be part of a growing AI/ML team, helping to design, deploy, and optimise real-world applications using LLMs, RAG pipelines , and embedding-based search - all while working closely with product and platform teams to turn complex ideas into customer-facing features. What You’ll Be Working On Building production-ready GenAI/NLP pipelines – summarisation, classification, semantic search, etc. Designing and scaling RAG systems with embedding stores , reranking, and hybrid search Deploying LLMs using tools like vLLM, LangChain, HuggingFace , and custom APIs Working within a modern cloud environment (AWS), with support from platform/DevOps Mentoring more junior engineers and helping define ML best practices ✅ What They’re Looking For A strong academic background – ideally Computer Science, Maths, or Engineering from a top university 5 years of hands-on ML experience , with a recent focus on LLMs, GenAI or NLP Solid experience with Python ML tooling (e.g. HuggingFace, LangChain, PyTorch, Transformers) Comfortable designing and deploying RAG architectures , vector search, and embedding models Experience deploying ML to production in cloud (AWS preferred) , with MLOps awareness Bonus: Experience with model evaluation, latency tuning, cost optimisation , or quantifying performance in real-world settings A clear communicator who can collaborate across product and platform teams If you're looking to apply your GenAI experience in a role where your models go live and your input shapes what gets built, this is your shot.
