Job Description
What will you do? The Lean Logistics and Materials Engineer will develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure efficient material flow through the plant. This role includes optimizing material replenishment flows, enhancing transportation methods, and maintaining inventory accuracy. How will you do it? Define, maintain, and improve material replenishment flows and standard quantities for all manufacturing lines. Develop part flow from warehouse and internal material supply to Point of Use (POU) using Lean manufacturing principles. Manage and maintain Plan for Every Part (PFEP) to deliver the best cost/service solution for each part. Collaborate with planning, quality, manufacturing, and procurement teams to streamline receiving and ensure product quality. Work with operations to optimize total factory costs and improve workstation density using Just-in-Time and other methods. Investigate opportunities to standardize and automate material handling operations. Develop investment proposals for solutions addressing material handling challenges. Support layout and facility planning initiatives. Lead cultural change towards Lean principles within the organization. What are we looking for? Required: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of Lean Logistics principles and methodologies. Experience managing a team (minimum 2 years). Preferred: Lean Training (Green Belt preferred). Master’s degree in a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Office applications and supply chain management software.
