The prime candidate will work seamlessly with both senior partners as well as administrative staff in an effort to effectively serve our clients. Compensation: $105,000 DOE Responsibilities: Oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients’ needs after analysis Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions Passion for lawyering and being in the courtroom making a difference Honesty is critical and good ethical character is essential Love connecting with people Passionate about helping others Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Treats a 4:30 call on Friday with the same care and compassion as one on Monday morning Exceptional curiosity - Ownership mindset Qualifications: Must be a member of your local bar association - active member preferred Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is needed Graduation from law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience in representing clients for at least 2 years Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision Qualified candidates will have 3 years of experience Admitted to practice law in Tennessee General or criminal law experience is a plus Former prosecution experience strongly preferred (we are all former prosecutors!) Experience in other law firms or government legal departments is a plus At least 3 years of criminal law experience preferred About Company Andrew C.
