We typically utilize travelers/agency staff in Preop and recovery. We only recover Phase 2 patients (non-intubated patients). We use propofol per anesthesia for most cases, on occasion there is one physician who does conscious sedation (Midazolam and fentanyl).We are an endoscopy department however any RN that has worked in any periop area where there is preop and recovery has the type of experience for this role.
