Here's a more detailed breakdown of the role: Key Responsibilities: Staff Management: Recruitment and Hiring: Identifying and recruiting qualified core and agency nurses and allied support staff. Performance Management: Evaluating performance, providing feedback, and addressing any issues per the performance management process. Scheduling and Staffing: Ensuring adequate staffing levels and managing schedules to meet unit needs. Training and Development: Providing ongoing training and professional development opportunities for entire team. Patient Care: Quality Assurance: Monitoring and ensuring the quality of patient care provided by team. Communication: Facilitating effective communication between nurses, patients, and other healthcare professionals. Problem-Solving: Addressing patient care issues and resolving conflicts that may arise. Environment: Develops and sustains an environment that supports excellence n clinical practice and promotes quality patient care with focus on safety. Operational Management: Policy and Procedure Adherence: Ensuring that the team adhere to agency policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulatory standards. Budget Management: Managing the budget related to staffing and other operational costs Patient Relationship Management: Maintaining strong relationships with agency clients and ensuring their satisfaction.
