Job Description Job Description We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our team on a contract basis in Flint, Michigan. This role is an excellent opportunity to provide essential support in payroll, employee onboarding, and handling exit procedures during a busy program season. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in HR operations and a customer-focused mindset to ensure smooth organizational practices. Responsibilities: • Manage payroll submissions and ensure accuracy by auditing timesheets, including overtime calculations. • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring compliance with organizational standards. • Collaborate with site teams to address hiring needs for upcoming summer and fall programs. • Maintain effective communication with employees and leadership, fostering a supportive work environment. • Assist with posting job openings and refining job descriptions to attract top talent. • Support compliance efforts related to HR policies and practices. • Utilize HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now and Dayforce to streamline processes. • Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now • Strong knowledge of employee relations, compliance, and benefit functions. • Experience with ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) and recruitment processes. • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with staff and leadership. • Familiarity with FMLA and other HR compliance regulations. • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information. • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. • Previous experience in HR or payroll roles is highly desirable.
