Job Description Job Description We are looking for a skilled In House Counsel to join our team in Delray Beach, Florida. This role involves providing expert legal advice and support across various functions, including real estate transactions, contract negotiations, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills to effectively address complex legal matters. Ideal candidate will have passed FL bar and have some government experience. Responsibilities: • Provide strategic legal guidance and recommendations to support the organization's objectives. • Oversee and facilitate real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leases. • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, bid documents, and interlocal agreements. • Prepare and review resolutions related to board agenda items to ensure legal compliance. • Respond to public records requests and ensure adherence to applicable laws. • Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, and present findings to stakeholders. • Offer legal opinions and advice on matters such as Public Records Law, ethics, and Sunshine Law. • Interpret and apply federal, state, and local laws related to contracts, real estate, construction, land use, and development. • Collaborate with internal and external parties to ensure legal requirements are met across all operations. • Juris Doctor degree and active membership with the Florida Bar, with at least 1-2 years of relevant legal experience. • Proficient in oral and written communication, capable of engaging effectively with diverse audiences. • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks under deadlines. • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and public officials. • Familiarity with Office Suite and legal software tools. • In-depth knowledge of laws and regulations governing real estate, government contracts, and public sector operations. • Experience in drafting contracts and legal documents, coupled with a detail-oriented approach.
