Job Description
Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist My client is a leading non-profit organisation, specialising in working with and for young children. They are currently seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to join their team in Belfast. This is a Full-Time, contracted position - initially until the 31st of March 2027 (possibility of extension thereafter). Working Hours: 37 hours per week (hybrid working) With a salary of £38,626 - £41,511per annum (dependent on experience). Job Role: The postholder will work with management and wider staff teams to review, develop and implement outcomes based, evidence-informed reporting mechanisms. The role will require leading on the implementation of high quality and appropriate monitoring and evaluation processes within The Project. Using evidence to improve outcomes for children, young people, families and communities. Essential Criteria: A degree level qualification or equivalent in an area of study related to or incorporating Social Science or Community Development or Business Development. Two years relevant experience in the monitoring and evaluation of complex projects with reporting responsibility to both internal and external stakeholders; to include an OBA approach. Demonstrable data analyses experience and proficient in the use of Microsoft packages, including Microsoft Excel. A full current driving licence enabling the holder to drive in Northern Ireland/ROI and have the use of vehicle for official purpose OR have access to a form of transport that will enable the candidate to meet the requirements of the post in full. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Monitoring and evaluation To provide leadership and support in the development of monitoring, evaluation and learning strategies within the organisation. To conduct monitoring and verification of funded projects in accordance with the OBA framework and payments and monitoring schedule. Regularly review the monitoring and evaluation processes and systems to ensure the collection, tracking and reporting of data at project level, aligns with reporting requirements. Conduct annual evaluation of funded projects in line with The Projects outcomes and agreed measures, engaging with the organisations sector and projects to identify their support needs. In collaboration with management and wider staff teams review processes and data to identify what works, challenges and lessons learned for programme development. Data management and reporting Maintain effective data management via the online grant management platform or other platforms as required Ensure reliability and accuracy of information through quality checks and provision of support to projects when collecting data. Compile and analyse data to produce high quality reports for internal and external audiences. Grant management Assist with the assessment of a competitive grant application and award process for the allocation of funds in line with the requirements of the Department of Education. Delivery of workshops and training to raise awareness and enhance understanding of The Project. Capacity building Provide support to grant recipients on how to evidence their impact. Contribute to the organisations thinking, processes and systems relating to measuring and evidencing our impact.
