Job Title: RN Clinical Nurse - Acute Care - Nights Job Specialty: RN Registered / Licensed - Inpatient Job Duration: 8-week contract Shift: Night, 7p-7a Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Less than 1 year; completion of an accredited/approved school of nursing required License: Registered Nurse - Single State or Multi-state Compact Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: - Ability to read, write, and speak the English language. - Basic computer skills and the ability to optimize the use of technology to support clinical care. - Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, along with excellent customer service skills. - Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies with decisiveness, composure, and respect. - Excellent time management, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Job Description: - Exemplary Practice and Outcomes: - Perform the nursing process, ensuring individualized care and optimal patient outcomes. - Provide relationship-based, culturally competent, patient-centered care. - Partner with patients and significant others, maintaining open communication and focusing on patient goals. - Adhere to current clinical practice standards. - Teamwork and Collaboration: - Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care. - Foster a diverse and inclusive interdisciplinary communication environment. - Support recruitment, retention, and shared governance processes. - Professional Development and Initiative: - Complete mandatory education and competency assessments. - Serve as a preceptor or mentor, modeling professional nursing practice. - Evidence-Based Practice and Research: - Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement. - Uphold healthcare policies and ensure legal compliance. - Resources and Support: - Proactively plan patient care across the continuum. - Contribute to protocol development for best practice outcomes. - Support efficient resource utilization. - Additional Duties: - Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all healthcare policies, standards, and codes of conduct.
