Material Planner

Responsible for developing production and supply plans that consider forecasts, material availability, and manufacturing capacity. This role involves maintaining appropriate planning parameters in ERP systems to optimize subassembly production and raw material supply plans. The position may also include providing materials to manufacturing based on production schedules and ensuring the proper shipping of finished goods to distribution centers, supporting customer delivery and inventory policies. The role includes responsibilities for planners and inventory control personnel. Job Requirements Run raw material planning reports daily using Oracle ERP to ensure timely BPA releases. Place BPA Releases / Standard POs and communicate with suppliers. Maintain contact with suppliers to ensure delivery needs are met and avoid raw material stockouts. Collaborate with quality, production, and warehouse teams to ensure timely inventory receipt, return to supplier processes, and flexibility in order placement due to customer demand changes. Work with the supply chain team to foster a collaborative environment. Ensure high On-Time Delivery (OTD) levels to meet customer expectations and remain competitive. Develop, execute, and monitor action plans, KPIs, and problem-solving processes. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or supply chain management. Previous experience in materials planning within a manufacturing environment. Skills and Competences Strong understanding of supply chain processes and dependencies. Experience working with suppliers and managing supplier relationships. Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. Knowledge of Min-Max and Kanban planning systems or similar methodologies.
