Job Opening: Golf Course Superintendent at Northwest Golf Course Northwest Golf Course has an immediate opening for the position of Golf Course Superintendent. The course, in excellent condition and having recently hosted a successful U.S. Open Qualifying Round, is an Audubon International Certified Cooperative Sanctuary and the highest revenue facility in our system. This 27-hole facility was built in 1964, featuring a championship length of 7,400 yards, with bent/poa pushup greens, ryegrass fairways, and hybrid bermudagrass tees. The course also boasts a fully lit and heated driving range. More information can be found here . The superintendent will work daily with two knowledgeable, bilingual assistants and a highly experienced equipment manager. These team members managed operations last summer for three months with great success. The role involves overseeing daily tasks and planning long-term goals, in a team environment that values hard work and fun, aligned with our Core Values: Genuine Smile, Deliver Excellence, Do-Anything Attitude. We aim to maintain a work-life balance with two days off per week for full-time staff. As part of the award-winning MCG system, a division of MCRA , Northwest shares resources and equipment with nine nearby facilities, fostering collaboration among superintendents and support from our Director of Agronomy, Agronomy Support Manager, and Facilities & Equipment Supervisor. Essential Functions Formulating operational and capital improvement budgets Hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising staff Applying agronomic and administrative expertise to achieve course conditioning goals Maintaining equipment and assets at a high standard Performing preventive maintenance and repairs on irrigation systems and pump stations Keeping detailed records of maintenance, safety meetings, chemical and fertilizer applications Regular communication with management regarding goals and activities Participating in continuing education to stay current with industry trends Course Information Number of Holes: 27 Irrigation System: Rain Bird Nimbus II central, with full IC upgrade completed in winter 2023-24, featuring two 75HP vertical turbine pumps, revamped in 2025 Greens: Bent/Poa, 27 push-up greens with drainage as needed Tees: Latitude 36/Tahoma 31 bermudagrass Fairways: Perennial Ryegrass Staff & Course Conditions: Excellent J-18808-Ljbffr
