Job Description

Are you an experienced accounting professional looking for an opportunity to lead and grow within a dynamic company? Our client specializes in custom design, manufacture, and assembly of of projects throughout North America. Note that this role is 100% onsite.As the Controller, you will report to the CFO and take ownership of the organization's financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency while supporting business goals. Responsibilities include:Leadership & Oversight: Provide direction for daily accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the general ledger.Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Internal Controls: Maintain internal financial safeguards, oversee budgets, track costs, and monitor expenditures.Cash Flow Management: Drive forecasting and cash flow planning in collaboration with organizational leadership.Audit Readiness: Coordinate the annual audit process and serve as the primary liaison for external auditors.Compliance: Ensure adherence to all financial, tax, and regulatory reporting requirements.Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to optimize accounting processes and systems for greater efficiency.Inventory Management: Support cost tracking and analysis for inventory control.Project Support: Provide financial expertise related to cost control, job costing, and billing for project management teams.Team Development: Supervise, train, and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a high-performance team-oriented culture.5 years of accounting experience, including 2 years as a Controller or Accounting Manager.CPA designation is an asset.Construction or manufacturing industry experience is mandatory.Full cycle accounting, month-end close, financial statement preparation, budgeting/forecasting, costing, inventory management, tax compliance and government remittances.Strong technology skills including Excel and QuickBooks.Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and changing environment.Strong leadership skills and ability to delegate work, mentor and coach staff.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
