Job Description
Chemistry Technician Full Time - September 2025 Hummink is a deeptech startup that enables the manufacturing of micro and nano-electronic objects of tomorrow. Thanks to its breakthrough High Precision Capillary Printing technology (HPCaP), Hummink is overcoming the current industry limitations with a simpler, faster, and more environment- friendly solution. Spun-off from the prestigious physics labs of the Ecole Normale Supérieure, the company was founded in 2020 and is already collaborating with major industrial players from the semiconductor, display and printed electronics sectors. Hummink has already sold equipment in Europe, US and Asia, and is under qualification with major industrial manufacturers to ramp up their sales. To support our innovation in functional ink development, we are looking for a Chemistry Technician to join our R&D team. Missions As a Chemistry Technician, you will assist the R&D teams in the preparation of advanced inks for our printing technology. Your main tasks will include: Ink Preparation and Formulation: Prepare inks by precisely following detailed synthesis and formulation protocols to ensure reproducibility and accuracy throughout all preparative steps. Characterization of Nanoparticles and Inks: perform physico-chemical analyses including UV-Visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy, Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), rheological measurements. Quality Control and Testing: conduct stability studies and printing performance evaluations to monitor ink consistency and print quality. Laboratory Management: maintain laboratory inventory by monitoring chemical stocks and ordering materials proactively. Ensure proper maintenance, calibration of analytical instruments and laboratory equipment. Documentation and Reporting: accurately document all experimental procedures, assist in compiling technical reports. Prepare and issue Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) based on analytical results to ensure product quality, conformity, and traceability. Profile and Experience Bachelor’s in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or related field Significant hands-on experience in formulation or lab-based R&D (inks, coatings, nanoparticles is a plus) Familiarity with lab instruments and safety procedures Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team English and French proficiency (written and spoken) preferred Why join Hummink?
