Job Title: PLC Programmer (Freelance) Location: Rotterdam (Hybrid – 2 days on-site) Hourly Rate: €80-90 per hour Contract: 12 months initially (with potential extension) About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Freelance Automation PLC/SCADA Engineer to join one our clients projects in Rotterdam. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for our automated processes. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our automated systems meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements. The role will be a 12 months initially at €80-90 per hour. Key Responsibilities: Program and configure PLC systems, specifically using Siemens TIA Portal. Troubleshoot, test, and resolve issues in PLC-based automation systems. Develop and maintain SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and control. Collaborate with other engineering teams to improve system performance and reliability. Apply FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) to enhance system design and mitigate risks. Requirements: Solid experience as a PLC Programmer, with expertise in Siemens TIA Portal. Proficiency in programming PLC systems for automation processes. Knowledge of SCADA systems and their integration with PLCs. Experience with FMEA techniques is a plus. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
