Locum Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Neonatal in Maryland

About The Position We are seeking a skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for a 72-day locum tenens assignment in Maryland. The assignment begins on 09/16/2025, and requires 12 shifts per month, primarily nights from 7pm-7:30am, with some day shifts from 7am-7:30pm. The provider will be responsible for caring for sick newborns in a NICU, performing procedures such as lumbar punctures, intubations, UAC and UVC placements, PICC lines, chest tubes, vent management, needle aspirations, arterial and venous punctures, urine catheterization, and ECMO management. This hospital-based position offers the opportunity to work with a team of APPs and attending physicians in a high-acuity neonatal care setting. Job Details: Location: Maryland Facility Type: Hospital Start Date: 09/16/2025 LOA: 72 days Provider Type Needed: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Schedule: 12 shifts per month, primarily nights (7pm-7:30am) with some days (7am-7:30pm) Job Responsibilities and Duties: • Provide comprehensive care for sick newborns in a NICU • Perform advanced neonatal procedures including lumbar punctures and intubations • Place UAC, UVC, PICC lines, and chest tubes • Manage ventilators and ECMO equipment • Conduct needle aspirations, arterial and venous punctures, and urine catheterization • Collaborate with a team of APPs, fellows, and attending physicians • Utilize Epic electronic health record system Additional Information: • Active Maryland nurse practitioner license required • Ability to work 3-4 consecutive 12-hour shifts • 6 months of coverage needed with potential for extension • Cannot work 24-hour shifts Apply now to learn more!
