About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead the development, execution, and delivery of renewable energy projects, primarily solar, wind, or hybrid systems. The successful candidate will oversee all phases of project development from feasibility to commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution : Lead end-to-end management of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro, or hybrid), from site identification and feasibility through construction and commissioning. Stakeholder Management : Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, financiers, utilities, and government agencies. Budget & Cost Control : Prepare project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial targets are met. Compliance & Permitting : Secure and manage required permits, licenses, and ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations. Technical Oversight : Work with technical teams on design, system integration, and technology selection to optimize system performance. Risk Management : Identify risks early and implement effective mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle. Reporting & Documentation : Provide regular status reports, project documentation, and performance analytics to stakeholders and senior leadership. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil), Environmental Science, or related field. 10 years experience in managing large-scale renewable energy projects. Proven track record of delivering utility-scale or commercial renewable energy projects. Strong understanding of energy systems, grid integration, and project financing. PMP or PRINCE2 certification (advantageous). Proficiency with MS Project, AutoCAD, or equivalent project management and design tools. Knowledge of applicable environmental and energy regulations in South Africa. Soft Skills Exceptional leadership and team coordination abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
