Job Description

We are offering a contract for a Compliance Officer I - CAD in the Healthcare/NHS industry based in Markham, Ontario. The role involves ensuring compliance within the organization, coordinating various work streams, providing training and communications related to compliance, and actively engaging in business projects for effective oversight and organization.Responsibilities:- Lead and support various compliance projects, ensuring adherence to both global and local industry standards.- Offer assistance to cross-functional departments on critical and time-sensitive projects, including internal audits and the introduction of new or updated processes and procedures.- Proactively provide guidance to in-country teams on compliance matters to mitigate risk.- Develop and maintain automated forms and workflows using local programs and software to enhance processes without compromising compliance.- Conduct both routine and ad hoc reviews, resolving any identified issues.- Provide direct assistance to the Canadian Compliance Department for ongoing compliance needs.- Establish, create, and revise country-specific policies, procedures, and standards to reduce compliance risk.- Review and maintain the Compliance training matrix for the country and monitor completed training.- Support the Commercial Business and Training Team by providing relevant, engaging, and interactive compliance training.- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement solutions to compliance issues, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in the English language- Proven experience in compliance, policy implementation, and procedure development within the healthcare industry- Proficiency in using monitoring tools and reporting mechanisms to ensure compliance- Demonstrable skills in project management with a focus on timely deliverables and efficient deployments- Familiarity with HealthCare.gov and its compliance functions- Ability to provide effective training to different stakeholders, ensuring understanding and adherence to compliance policies- Experience in conducting internal audits and risk management activities- Ability to work collaboratively with different teams and departments- Proficiency in using video conferencing tools for remote collaboration and onsite meetings- Ability to review and update compliance policies as per changing regulations and standards- Strong skills in managing and mitigating risks associated with non-compliance- Experience in oversight of compliance activities within the healthcare or NHS sector- Ability to work on compliance related projects, ensuring all aspects are executed as planned.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
