RN - Cardiovascular ICU, Full Time at Mercy summary: This role is for a Registered Nurse specializing in cardiovascular and surgical intensive care, providing critical care to patients undergoing cardiothoracic, vascular, and general surgeries. Responsibilities include managing complex postoperative care for conditions such as CABG, valve repair, cardiogenic shock, and STEMI/NSTEMI. The position requires an accredited nursing degree, active RN licensure, physical stamina, and Basic Life Support certification. We care for all cardiothoracic, vascular, general, and head/neck surgery patients requiring ICU admission. Some common patients we care for are: CABG and Valve Repair/Replacement Vascular Stent and Bypasses Cardiogenic Shock STEMI/NSTEMI Radical Neck Dissection General Surgery Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements. Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
