Within the Material Planner team, we are looking for a new resource for the ASTRA V.I. SpA Piacenza Site RESPONSABILITIES: Manage a dedicated list of suppliers and plan material requirements in line with production schedules using the MRP system (Material Requirements Planning) Analyze weekly order programs generated automatically by the system Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials and proactively prevent shortages on production lines Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure reliability, handling first-level escalation of supply issues Collaborate with Production, Logistics, and Quality teams to align material availability with production needs and manage production or supply-related scrap Work closely with the Purchasing department to manage supply parameters such as lead times, MOQ, Incoterms, etc. Define supply planning parameters for new orders and issue purchase requests accordingly Maintain and set accurate planning parameters to support a standardized planning process Collaborate with the PBOM (Product Bill of Materials) team to review BOMs and manage phase-in/phase-out processes Manage shipments through the Supplier Portal Maintain accurate inventory records and generate detailed reports for management review Implement inventory management strategies to avoid both shortages and excess stock Identify opportunities for inventory optimization, cost reduction, and process improvements BACKGROUND : Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, industrial engineering or a related field Proven experience (2 years) in material planning, supply chain, procurement, or production planning Knowledge of vehicle BOMs to evaluate alternative solutions in terms of assembly and procurement Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas), SAP and other data analysis tools Experience with inventory management, forecasting, and material flow optimization Knowledge of Incoterms, lead times, MOQ management, and supplier KPIs is highly valued Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn new tools and process Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders Fluent in English (written and spoken); knowledge of additional languages is a plus J-18808-Ljbffr
