Position Overview We’re seeking a junior developer to join our Digital & IT team as an intern with serious growth potential. This role is perfect for someone who can already code functional applications and is excited to apply those skills to solve real business problems in a fast-paced restaurant technology environment. What You’ll Learn & Build Starting Projects (Weeks 1-4) Integration Scripts: Write Python scripts to connect our POS system with our BI Data Processing Tools: Build utilities to clean and transform data from multiple sources API Connections: Create working connections between our various software systems Automation Scripts: Code solutions to eliminate manual data entry and repetitive tasks Growing Responsibilities (Months 2-4) Dashboard Applications: Develop web-based reporting tools using frameworks like Flask/React Database Management: Design and implement database schemas for better data organization System Monitoring: Build alerting systems to catch integration failures and performance issues Mobile/Web Features: Contribute code to our customer-facing applications Advanced Opportunities (Months 4-6) Architecture Planning: Help design scalable solutions for our growing technology needs Product Development: Lead development of new features and standalone applications Entrepreneurial Projects: Code prototypes for potential new business ventures Required Qualifications Programming ability: Can write working code in at least one language (Python, JavaScript, PHP, Java, etc.) Database basics: Understanding of SQL and how to work with relational databases Problem-solving through code: You see a business problem and think about how to solve it with software Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal English and Italian Portfolio evidence: Can show examples of code you’ve written (GitHub, personal projects, school assignments) What Makes You Right for This Role You’re someone who: Builds rather than configures - you prefer writing code to clicking through admin panels Asks “why” and “how” - you dig into root causes rather than applying band-aid solutions Thinks like an owner - you care about long-term architecture, not just quick fixes Learns constantly - our tech stack will challenge you, and you’ll love every minute Communicates clearly - you can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders IT Infrastructure & Hardware Operations Beyond development, you’ll also gain hands-on experience with: POS Hardware Management : Troubleshooting terminal issues, printer configurations, network connectivity across 150 locations Kiosk Maintenance : Hardware diagnostics, software updates, remote monitoring systems Network Infrastructure : WiFi management, network security, bandwidth optimization for high-traffic locations Device Fleet Management : Tablet deployments, mobile device configurations, hardware inventory tracking Store Technology Rollouts : Supporting new location launches, technology training for staff Remote Support : Providing technical assistance to international locations across different time zones Our offer: 6-month internship Compensation: €800/month Employee discounts and perks
