Inventory Manager (Retail Industry)

Inventory Manager This role leads inventory planning and stock accuracy across a regional retail network. It combines strategic buying oversight with hands-on inventory control, working closely with teams like Product, IT, Retail, and Supply Chain to optimise availability, reduce shrink, and ensure operational compliance. Key Responsibilities: Drive forecasting, replenishment, and buying strategy across stores Manage vendor relationships and support store openings Oversee inventory integrity using RFID tools and systems Lead variance investigations and compliance audits Train store teams on inventory processes and best practices Collaborate cross-functionally on stock control, pricing, and planning Provide insights for inventory budgeting and policy improvements Skills & Experience: Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred) 3–5 years in inventory, retail buying, or stock control Proficiency with ERP, RFID (e.g., Detego, Becosoft), and Excel Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills Knowledge of European retail standards is a plus Some local travel will be required (limited) Flexibility required during audits and seasonal peaks
