Senior Electrical Design Engineer Location: Kintore, Aberdeenshire Competitive Salary Permanent Are you a Senior Electrical Design Engineer looking for a new role? A leading global engineering and manufacturing organisation is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join its Wireline Systems and Wellhead Pressure Control Equipment team at its engineering headquarters in Kintore. This facility serves as the central hub for the design, manufacture, and after-sales support of intervention equipment across Europe, Africa, and the CIS region. In this pivotal role, you will work under the guidance of the Principal Engineer to deliver high-quality, technically robust solutions across the full engineering lifecycle. You will be responsible for the design of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems, applying advanced CAE tools from initial proposal through to project completion. This position requires a thorough understanding of both technical and commercial considerations, with a strong emphasis on innovation, precision, and collaboration. The successful candidate will contribute to the company's culture of continuous improvement and support strategic goals through the delivery of efficient, customer-focused engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities: Senior Electrical Design Engineer Design and develop customised electrical systems using advanced CAE tools, with consideration for customer requirements and system integration. Lead design projects including cost estimation, validation, compliance documentation, and final delivery, ensuring adherence to budget and timelines. Provide technical support across regional and global teams, including site visits for installation, commissioning, and client engagement. Required Qualifications and Experience: Senior Electrical Design Engineer Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering. Proven experience in electrical design within the oil and gas or a closely related engineering sector. Proficiency with CAE tools and established engineering documentation standards. Strong working knowledge of relevant industry regulations, compliance requirements, and engineering best practices. Desirable: Senior Electrical Design Engineer Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, or electromechanical systems. Familiarity with manufacturing technologies and design for manufacturability.
