Job Description
HUB Components & Materials Expert (m/f/d), Monselice Job Description: For our Transformers Business Unit, we’re looking for a HUB Components and Material Expert who will provide technical expertise and leadership to drive the generation, maintenance, and adoption of standard materials, accessories, and components in transformer factories across Hub Europe. The role involves interacting with stakeholders in development, verification, standardization, and evaluation of solutions based on Industry, Technical, Quality, and HSE requirements. Additionally, the expert will support the Supply Chain in developing new suppliers, identifying cost reduction opportunities, and evaluating potential substitutions. How you’ll make an impact Collaborate with factory Engineering, Category Managers, SCM, Quality, and Suppliers to standardize and streamline transformer components and materials. Provide technical expertise during the qualification process for new components, materials, and suppliers. Support the establishment and maintenance of a components library compliant with regulations (e.g., PFAS, SVHC). Represent the “voice of the customer” during supplier audits. Work with Engineering teams to facilitate the integration of standard components into factories and design tools. Update material specifications with the Global Material Repository (GMR) to reflect standards and ensure commercial viability; recommend enhancements and coordinate specification changes. Establish processes for handling components and standards. Your Background BSc in Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering. 7-10 years of engineering experience in Production, Quality Assurance, or Supplier Development. Strong knowledge of transformer accessories in the European market for distribution and power transformers. Experience with AutoCAD, Creo or other 3D modeling software, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Windchill, SAP. Familiar with IEC standards for transformers and components. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in project management. Fluent in English, both oral and written.
