Commodity Buyer

We are looking for a Commodity Buyer to support LU-VE Plant in Italy In this role, you will report to the Global Commodity Buyer Manager and be part of the Purchasing Department. Your location will be LU-VE S.p.A., Uboldo (VA), Italy. Responsibilities Support the implementation of Purchase Policies at the Group level in line with company strategies. Negotiate the best commercial conditions for categories under your responsibility, in coordination with the Global Commodity Manager. Propose medium- to long-term supply agreements focusing on cost reduction and competitive advantage, leveraging Group synergies. Build and maintain trustful relationships with strategic suppliers to ensure priority and timely offers, enhancing effectiveness and efficiency. Manage supplier relationships through visits and ensure alignment with Group strategies. Handle administrative aspects of purchasing, including requests, orders, and documentation, accurately and reliably. Develop budgets for the categories managed. Contribute to the continuous improvement of purchasing processes. Update price lists, lead times, and data for ERP/MRP systems. Prepare KPI reports on purchasing activities, analyze data, and create dashboards for Group-level oversight. Monitor and optimize costs of materials and services for stable production. Support KPI monitoring of vendors and develop action plans. Collaborate with Technical Office and Production to identify optimal purchasing solutions. Coordinate with Supply Chain Management to ensure material availability. Work with Quality to improve supplier quality, conduct audits, and update approved supplier lists. Analyze delivery timing and quality data. Drive continuous improvements in cost and quality of supply sources, fostering innovation with suppliers. Assist in global development projects within the Purchasing Department. Support new product development by defining cost structures, requesting quotes, and collaborating with involved teams. Experience 3 to 5 years in a similar role within structured companies. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Economics. Proficiency in Office and SAP software (additional skills are a plus). J-18808-Ljbffr
