Role The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for planning and managing procurement aligned with business needs. This includes coordinating and controlling the purchase of goods and services to optimize inventory, improve flow and storage processes, and reduce costs to save budget resources. Responsibilities also include identifying potential suppliers, analyzing offers for quality and price, validating and contacting suppliers, negotiating purchase terms, signing contracts, managing orders, and maintaining supplier relations. The role involves verifying compliance with procedures and collaborating with the quality control department, as well as managing stocks and supplier archives. Responsibilities Plan procurement of goods and raw materials according to supply chain needs Scout and validate suppliers based on quality and cost Negotiate economic and contractual terms (timing, costs, quantities, delivery methods) Manage purchases and enter orders using management software Monitor delivery progress and warehouse stock levels Prepare reports on procurement activities Analyze market trends for external products Evaluate and introduce new products Professional Experience Degree in Business Administration or Management Engineering Experience in purchasing and logistics is preferred; knowledge of procurement, supply chain, warehouse management, logistics, distribution, administration, and control is desired Proficiency in computer and enterprise software Good command of English and other languages Personal Attributes Expertise in purchasing, warehouse, and distribution management Knowledge of relevant market sectors Skills in budget management and forecasting Negotiation skills and business acumen Understanding of administrative procedures and regulations Proficiency in management software and applications Versatility, flexibility, and problem-solving abilities Additional Information Seniority level: Entry level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Purchasing and Supply Chain Industry: Shipbuilding Referrals can double your chances of interviewing at Italdraghe.
