We, The Offshore Partners , are looking for a Buyer to support our client in their projects. Our client is a leading supplier of maritime technology, provides worldwide with a clear competitive edge in the dredging, offshore, mining and defence industry. As a buyer, you will contribute to the further professionalization of the Purchasing department, with a strong focus on an optimal supply chain. You negotiate prices and delivery times and ensure timely and complete deliveries. Your Responsibilities: Preparation of application specifications. Advising users on newly developed products and materials from suppliers. Requesting materials and services in both local and international markets, obtaining quotations and assessing them on price and technical aspects. Exploring the supplier market for new products, capabilities and delivery reliability. Visits from suppliers to assess their suitability for delivery. Selecting suppliers based on price, delivery time, quality, functional and technical requirements, and supplier performance, and continuously improving the supply chain. Monitoring supplier performance. Make proposals to optimize the procurement process. Providing reports within hierarchical and functional lines. We’re Looking for Someone Who Is: Relevant experience in a similar position, preferably gained within interior related projects. Good command of the Dutch and English language verbally and in writing. A completed MBO level 4 education and strong affinity with interior construction, yacht and shipbuilding.
