Senior Test Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced freelance Senior Test Manager for a challenging contract assignment within a large-scale, complex IT initiative. This role is crucial for professionalizing the testing strategy and ensuring high-quality deliveries across multiple integrated systems. About the Assignment This project involves multiple Agile teams working within an intricate IT landscape. The current testing approach requires a skilled professional to establish, manage, and monitor a robust testing process. The goal is to significantly increase test coverage, improve team collaboration, and deliver demonstrable quality improvements. Key Responsibilities Over a 6-month assignment, you will be responsible for: Analyzing current testing practices and identifying risks. Developing and implementing a comprehensive test strategy and plan. Establishing and coordinating testing processes and roles within Agile teams. Guiding test execution, setting up quality metrics, and evaluating results. Overseeing chain testing and advising on test automation integration (CI/CD). Documenting processes, facilitating knowledge transfer, and providing final recommendations for long-term quality assurance. What We're Looking For We need a Senior Test Manager with: A strong academic background (HBO/WO level). A minimum of 5 years of experience in test management, specifically within Agile/DevOps environments . Proven expertise in designing and implementing test strategies for complex IT projects. Knowledge of test automation, chain testing, and overall quality assurance principles. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of guiding multidisciplinary teams. Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or TMap Suite) are a strong plus. Assignment Details Location: Utrecht area On-site: 2 days per week (mandatory) Duration: Until December 31, 2025, with a strong possibility of extension. Hours: 36-40 hours per week. Language Requirements: Proficient in both Dutch and English. Engagement: Freelance/self-employed contractors
