Facility Advisor

As the subject matter expert in Canada leads and provides guidance to management regarding all property and facility daily operations (i.e., projects and equipment maintenance, property management construction projects and contractors/vendors management). Provides technical support, guidance and advice to facility representatives and user groups. Coordinates the selection, training, scheduling and performance of material handling and facility maintenance vendors (e.g., quality, timeliness, reliability and cost-effectiveness) as they relate to the maintenance and repair of material handling systems and facility related components and systems, in multiple manual sortation facilities REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Bachelor's degree/equivalent in construction, architecture, engineering or technical discipline. Six (6) years related experience in construction, architecture, engineering or technical discipline. Ability to develop and lead a group of vendors engaged in the activities of preventative maintenance, machinery repair, and facility upkeep. Understanding of mechanical and electrical design and repair practices as they apply to power transmission and conveyor belt applications. Knowledge of motors and motor control methods. Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting techniques. Knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and computer controls systems. Knowledge of applicable safety codes. Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematic diagrams. Ability to assume emergency response duties – may be required to report to work 24/7 Moderate travel required. Work evenings and weekends required. Microsoft Office software and web-based applications. Good human relations and communication skills. Communicates with others in a clear, concise, and timely manner. Good planning and organization skills.
