Transport Planner

Transport Planner Gloucester Up to £32,000 per annum Full-time, permanent. Are you a motivated and organised individual with a passion for logistics? We're looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join a dynamic team, managing and coordinating operations across general haulage and the pallet network. About the Role: As a Transport Planner, you'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods. You'll be responsible for planning and routing vehicles, managing drivers, and meeting customer delivery requirements, all while keeping compliance and safety at the forefront. Key Responsibilities: Plan daily routes for HGVs in both general haulage and pallet network operations. Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure timely collections and deliveries. Monitor transport costs and maximise vehicle utilisation. Ensure compliance with all transport legislation and company procedures. React quickly to changes or delays and provide effective solutions. Maintain clear and accurate records using transport management systems (TMS). What We're Looking For: Experience in transport planning within general haulage and/or pallet networks. Strong geographical knowledge of the UK. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
