Junior Naval Architect – Offshore Engineering Are you ready to kickstart your career in offshore engineering? For the Engineering Department we are currently looking for a Junior Naval Architect to join the dynamic Naval & Marine team. As a Junior Naval Architect, you will work in a technically challenging and innovative environment. You will be involved in advanced analyses, smart design solutions, and close collaboration with various engineering disciplines. Your mission is to help develop cost-effective and safe offshore systems that comply with class rules and client requirements. You’ll contribute throughout the entire project lifecycle — from concept and basic design to detailed engineering, yard support, and operational phases of offshore floating units such as FPSOs. Your Role As part of the Naval & Marine section, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality naval engineering input within budget and schedule. Your tasks include: Designing and conducting hydrostatic, hydrodynamic, and structural analyses. Collaborating with engineers and draftsmen across multiple disciplines. Reporting progress, challenges, and technical concerns to the Lead Engineer and Section Head. Identifying technical risks and irregularities early on. Responding to queries from sites, clients, class societies, and subcontractors. Traveling abroad or to shipyards when required. What We’re Looking For A technically driven and communicative team player with a strong analytical mindset. You also bring: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture or Offshore Engineering. 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in the offshore or maritime industry. Affinity with hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, FEM analysis, and fatigue assessments. Experience with programming tools such as VBA, Matlab, or Python. Familiarity with international design standards and classification rules. The ability to manage your own workload and work independently.
