Job Title Medior Scientific Software Engineer – ALTEN Netherlands The Position As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Medior Scientific Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to ongoing client projects in the Eindhoven region. As Medior Scientific Software Engineer, your main tasks will include: Developing and maintaining scientific software tools, primarily in MATLAB Working on CPD (Critical Path Delay) applications within advanced system environments Supporting functionality development through a combination of physics, optics, and control systems expertise Contributing to a modular software framework with plug-in-based architecture Maintaining tools built by previous consultants and transitioning responsibilities smoothly Applying functional knowledge to drive software-side development Collaborating in a multidisciplinary setting with mechatronics and scientific engineering teams Your Profile Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Mechatronics, Systems and Control, Computer Science, or a related field Around 3–4 years of experience in a similar role Proficient in MATLAB; experience with modelling and scientific computing Fluent in English Strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and motivation to work in a high-tech environment Background in high-tech systems preferred Working conditions You get a permanent contract You get a lease car with a fuel card Possibility of hybrid working Monthly net expense allowance 27 vacation days with the possibility to purchase 10 extra vacation days Pension scheme without personal contribution Why join us?
