Warehouse Logistics Administrator

We are now recruiting for a Warehouse Logistics Administrator working for a global freight forwarder based in Altrincham. Your role will be to support the day-to-day warehouse and fork lift operations for all freight & stock arrivals and departures. Key duties and responsibilities: * Maintain a safe working environment by applying a 'Safety First' approach to working. * Ensure all equipment and areas of the warehouse are clean, tidy and orderly. * Daily checks of all mechanical equipment to ensure they are safe to use. * Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles, checking against notes to ensure accuracy of receipt or dispatch of goods. * Quality - Ensure the inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances to the Warehouse supervisor. * Raise concerns/issues with Warehouse supervisor as soon as they are noted. * Booking in of all incoming stock and storing in a safe manner. Ensuring these are put in the correct locations. * Order Picking - Pick and prepare products for shipping, ensuring the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped. * Use of Bar-Code scanners where appropriate * Assisting in all warehouse roles, not just one primary role. * Flexibility with hours to suit the company requirements. Person Specification: * Warehouse experience gained from a freight forwarder/manufacturer or related sector * Team player. * Takes responsibility for developing their own ability. * Delivers their tasks and processes with limited oversight from management. * Full valid Forklift licenses ( Reach & Counter-Balance) - Advantageous * Good numerical skills.
